Club Penguin Builds 7 Schools with Free the Children!

Last year, 11 of our Club Penguin team members helped raise funds to build schools with Free the Children. Together they helped build schools in Ghana, Ecuador, Haiti, India, Kenya, Nicaragua, and Sierra Leone — how amazing is that?!

Currently, I’m actually working on a project for Girl Scouts! I’m working with my school library to help build a special education resources section on for the whole community. Also, congrats to the awesome mods for helping out!

Megg’s School and Skate Party Sneak Peek!

A few notes:

• The mall is totally awesome. I don’t know about you, but the mall I go to is lots of fun! Glad they could capture that in CP 😉
• SHE HINTED AT A CLUB PENGUIN MOVIE ZOMGGGGGG
• Always read books. Especially when you have to read one for school and you have to finish half of it in two days… haha not like I have to do that instead of blogging

Mod Monday- September 15th

Okay, so I don’t know if this was announced on the CP blog or not, but there was a small Mod Monday today! The moderators Shrub Shrub, Grand Stand, Cool Times, and Rootin Tootin were all on (at least when I was on). I tried to record but my laptop glitched and it didn’t save the video -_- Anyways, all the moderators didn’t confirm anything about next month’s party, but Grand Stand DID say something about looking in the newspaper 😉 We sipped tea with Cool Times and Shrub Shrub, and Rootin Tootin sent out postcards. I got not one, but TWO postcards from Rootin Tootin! Thanks so much Rootin 😀 We also tried to guess Grand Stand’s favorite planet. I guessed Gallifrey (hehehe) but as that probably won’t go through the filters, I said “the planet the Doctor is from!” and much to my shock, Grand Stand replied “Not where the Doctor is from, but good guess!” The fact that she even knew what I was talking about made my day about 500% better.

I hope one day these all the moderators find this post, and know that they do their job to the fullest and help make kids happier every day. Thanks so much for being who you are. In the wise words of Nerdfighteria, don’t forget to be awesome.

Polo Field Takes the Ice Bucket Challenge

This is a message from Megg:

As some of you may know, Spike Hike nominated me to pour a bucket of ice cold water over Polo Field. This is all part of the “Ice Bucket Challenge” that many are taking to help create awareness and find a cure for ALS (otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.)

ALS effects the way people move, meaning their bodies will gradually become paralyzed because their muscles no longer work.

The challenge is to donate to the cause at alsa.org within 24 hours of being nominated or… get ice water dumped on you. We’re doing both! We’re challenging the Club Penguin office to donate to this worthy cause, AND we’re taking the Ice Bucket Challenge..

In other news… Spike Hike is hosting an ALS Awareness Party  today at 1:00pm PST on desktop computers. Log on to the server Fog at 1pm to join the fun! Everyone is invited to log on and help spread awareness!

I still can’t get the Club Penguin video player to work on my blog, so you have to go to the official CP blog to watch. I did take the ice challenge and it was NOT fun; I screamed like a little girl. It’s nice to raise awareness for ALS.

Spoiler Alert Episode 26- Finale

In this episode of the Spoiler Alert, the season concludes with the igloo catalog and finally finding out what’s behind door 2…

I really love the new igloo catalog! I’ve been looking for some more homely furnishings for my igloo (if you’ve seen my igloo, you might notice that the Christmas stove and oven doesn’t match the Prehistoric fridge or the brick pizza oven). We can also get a SoundStudio in our igloos! A I also have to agree that the Megg Takeover was awesome 😀

Music Jam Update with Spoilers!

I can’t believe it’s July 1 tomorrow, time is flying! First off, congrats to the Sharks for their epic win of the Penguin Cup. *claps*

Now for some awesome Music Jam news!

For those who asked to have nighttime in Club Penguin, you’re in luck! I’m extremely excited to announce that this party will have both day and night… for the first time in CP history! Like in the real world, we’ll have daytime and nighttime in some rooms of the party. Check it out:

Wait! There’s more – I’ve got my hands on the set list of performers for the party? Want to see? Who am I kidding, of course you do!

That’s right, Cadence and all 4 members of the Penguin Band will be walking around the island to party with everyone. This is the first full appearance from the PB in quite a while, so it’s super special!

We’ll also be hosting some special musical guests at the big festival, including Cole Plante, Zendaya, Violetta, and next month’s featured artist, Sabrina Carpenter! Stay tuned to the blog for an exclusive interview with Sabrina, too.

Music Jam starts on July 17. We’ll share some more sneak peeks over the next week.

First thing: NIGHT TIME! OH YEAAAAH! The CP community has been asking about this for AGES and it’s finally happening! I think night in Club Penguin is pretty cool. This calls for a Doctor Who/ Jack Harkness reaction .gif! (via Tumblr)

Next thing: The Disney channel stars. I’ve mentioned this SO many times before, I think it’s just time to make a rant post. I don’t really want to be THAT blogger who has to complain EVERY TIME about Disney. Another Doctor Who reaction .gif  video is needed.

The Spoiler Alert Episode 25

This week’s episode spoils the new Penguin Style catalog for July. The dialog is hard to hear (or I just have really bad headphones).

I think it’s super cool that Club Penguin is doing their own mini music festival. I can pretend to be hipster Greeny and do everything before it was cool :3 I’ll probably make memes out of that XD

In hopes that I would meet Moose, I went on Grizzly. I never got to see him, but Polo was on! This is his igloo (bananas, yes).

I went to the Stadium, where Ninja was!

I GOT A POSTCARD FROM NINJA!!!! I was hardcore fangirling the rest of the day.

Ninja played some games with a few penguins. He’s the one screaming “GOOD MATCH!”

After that, he had to go. He said he had to go back to filming, so MAYBE this could be in the Spoiler Alert!
