Spike Hike LEAVING Club Penguin

Hello penguins… I never thought this tragic day would come, but Spike Hike is leaving Club Penguin. Here’s the official post from the man himself:

Hey penguins,

The time has come for me to waddle on to my next adventure – and so I will be leaving Disney.

Getting to spend time with you all in Club Penguin has been one of the true joys of my life, and it has been for my family too, as all three of my kids have grown up with you in the Penguin community. I want to thank you all for so many special memories and especially thank the Penguin team for all their hard work and amazing creativity over the years!!

I couldn’t make this move if I didn’t feel you were in good hands and I have to say, the best is yet to come! Project: Super Secret looks amazing and should be ready for you to beta test in the next few months.

Of course, I couldn’t say goodbye without one more party and so Spike Hike will make a special farewell appearance tomorrow, Sept. 8 at 3:30pm Penguin Standard Time on the server Fog. If I don’t get the chance to see you Sept. 8, I’ll definitely be back for special events like the launch of Project: Super Secret and anniversaries!!

YOU are what makes Club Penguin so special! Thank you for letting me be a part of it!

Field Friday 4/29/16

Hey penguins! So my phone died and I decided to log into CP on a whim when a buddy icon popped up on one of the servers. I was lucky enough to get and see FIELD FRIDAY! Even though Polo left CP???

Either way it was pretty cool.

Mod Monday- September 15th

Okay, so I don’t know if this was announced on the CP blog or not, but there was a small Mod Monday today! The moderators Shrub Shrub, Grand Stand, Cool Times, and Rootin Tootin were all on (at least when I was on). I tried to record but my laptop glitched and it didn’t save the video -_- Anyways, all the moderators didn’t confirm anything about next month’s party, but Grand Stand DID say something about looking in the newspaper 😉 We sipped tea with Cool Times and Shrub Shrub, and Rootin Tootin sent out postcards. I got not one, but TWO postcards from Rootin Tootin! Thanks so much Rootin 😀 We also tried to guess Grand Stand’s favorite planet. I guessed Gallifrey (hehehe) but as that probably won’t go through the filters, I said “the planet the Doctor is from!” and much to my shock, Grand Stand replied “Not where the Doctor is from, but good guess!” The fact that she even knew what I was talking about made my day about 500% better.

I hope one day these all the moderators find this post, and know that they do their job to the fullest and help make kids happier every day. Thanks so much for being who you are. In the wise words of Nerdfighteria, don’t forget to be awesome.

Polo Field Takes the Ice Bucket Challenge

This is a message from Megg:

As some of you may know, Spike Hike nominated me to pour a bucket of ice cold water over Polo Field. This is all part of the “Ice Bucket Challenge” that many are taking to help create awareness and find a cure for ALS (otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.)

ALS effects the way people move, meaning their bodies will gradually become paralyzed because their muscles no longer work.

The challenge is to donate to the cause at alsa.org within 24 hours of being nominated or… get ice water dumped on you. We’re doing both! We’re challenging the Club Penguin office to donate to this worthy cause, AND we’re taking the Ice Bucket Challenge..

In other news… Spike Hike is hosting an ALS Awareness Party  today at 1:00pm PST on desktop computers. Log on to the server Fog at 1pm to join the fun! Everyone is invited to log on and help spread awareness!

In hopes that I would meet Moose, I went on Grizzly. I never got to see him, but Polo was on! This is his igloo (bananas, yes).

I went to the Stadium, where Ninja was!

I GOT A POSTCARD FROM NINJA!!!! I was hardcore fangirling the rest of the day.

Ninja played some games with a few penguins. He’s the one screaming “GOOD MATCH!”

After that, he had to go. He said he had to go back to filming, so MAYBE this could be in the Spoiler Alert!
